Janet C. Walker, 76, of Wataga, IL, formerly of East Moline, IL, passed away Wednesday, September 16, 2026, at home.

A memorial visitation will be from 1:00pm until 2:30pm Saturday, September 19, 2026, at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, with a time of sharing at 2:30pm.

Janet was born March 25, 1950, in Moline, IL, the daughter of Odele and Bertha (Volke) DeRemmelaere. She married James Walker Sr. and they had 4 children. She later married Charles Walker on November 19, 1993.

She enjoyed playing computer games and spending time with her family. She loved her dogs, with her most resent fur baby being Homer.

Survivors include her children, Susan (Chris) Sidener, and Donna Engesser; 14 grandchildren; too many great-grandchildren to count; and brother, Richard (Louann) DeRemmelaere. She was preceded in death by her parents; children, Amy Walker and James Walker Jr.; siblings, Rene, Joann, and June; grandson, Chance; and great-granddaughter, Lillian.
