Janice “Jan” M. McFatter, 84, of East Moline, passed away Tuesday, June 2, 2026, at Hope Creek Care Center, East Moline.

A memorial mass will be held 10:00 on Friday, June 12, 2026, at Van Hoe Funeral Home, East Moline. Visitation will be one hour prior at the funeral home. Inurnment will be at National Cemetery, Rock Island.

Janice was born on November 18, 1941, in Moline, the daughter of Everett and Pearl (Cook) Pecaut. She married Jerry McFatter on January 17, 1981, in East Moline, he preceded her in passing in 2002. Janice was an amazing housekeeper and owned her own housekeeping business. She loved jigsaw and crossword puzzles, and enjoyed gardening.

Janice is survived by her son, Terry Reed; grandchildren, Amber (Barry) Adams, Brandon Reed, and Emily (Erik) Larson; 9 great grandchildren; and brother, Lenny (Lynn) Pecaut. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; son, Scott Reed; and sisters, Jody and Carol.
