Jean C. Haynie, 80, Silvis, passed away on Friday, July 28, 2017 at her home. Funeral services are 11:30 AM Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd, East Moline. Burial is in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Visitation is from 10:30 until service time. Memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or to the Make a Wish Foundation. Jean Damm was born on November 4, 1936 in Rock Island, the daughter of Harold and Grace (Arnold) Damm. She married Kenneth on September 16, 1961 in Moline. She was a Brownie Leader and Cub Scout Den Mother and a Foster Parent. She enjoyed bowling and was a 30+ year member of the Women of the Moose. She loved being with family, especially her grand and great grandchildren. Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Ken, children, Dana (Susan) Haynie, Silvis, Joni (Joe) Redman, Rock Island, and Darby (Damon) Willaert, Geneseo, six grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, sisters, RuthAnn Welch, East Moline, Kay Chase, Moline, brothers, Ray (Marilyn) Damm, Silvis, Neal (Barb) Damm, Davenport, and Tim (Sandy) Damm, East Moline, and a sister-in-law Joyce Damm, East Moline. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Gary.
