Jean Ann Parsons, 84, Hampton, passed away on Thursday, January 31, 2013 at Genesis East, Davenport. Funeral services are 10 AM Tuesday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Burial is in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Visitation is 4-7PM Monday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Lung Association. Jean was born June 18, 1928 in Moline, the daughter of Peter and Agnes (Hynd) Neufcour. She married Robert A. Parsons on April 6, 1947. She had worked for State Farm in Bloomington while her husband was attending college and after her children were raised, she worked for her husband's Dentist office in downtown, Silvis. Robert Parsons DDS died January 3, 1993. Jean enjoyed watching movies, reading, cooking and sewing. She liked listening to Big Band music, and the Gaither Homecoming Series. She also loved flower gardening and feeding and watching birds. She will be remembered for her beautiful smile, her wonderful sense of humor and the life long friendships that she cherished. She was a loving mother and is survived by her children and their (spouses), Tom Parsons, Hampton, Barbara Elliott, Port Byron, Rebecca Golden, Prophetstown, IL, William (Angela) Parsons, Silvis and David (LaTasha) Parsons, Colorado Springs, CO, nine grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, a sister Sharon Anderson, N. Fort Myers, FL and several nieces and nephews.
