Funeral services for Jeanne G. DePorter, 73, East Moline, are 11 AM Tuesday, July 3, 2007 at St. Anne Catholic Church, East Moline. Burial is in St. Mary's Cemetery, East Moline. Visitation is 3-7 PM Monday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established. Mrs. DePorter died Thursday, June 28, 2007 at Genesis Medical Center-Illini Campus, Silvis. Jeanne Meersman was born August 31, 1933 in Moline, IL, the daughter of Eli and Mary (Vermeulen) Meersman. She married Donald G. DePorter on September 12, 1953 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Moline. Don died January 5, 1999. Jeanne retired from the accounting department for the former Eagle's Warehouse, Milan. She was a member of the Miss's Sippi Momma's Red Hatter's, sang in St. Anne Choir, enjoyed writing poetry and made Beareavement Bears for family and friends. Survivors include children (spouses) Diane (Chris) Lasco, Kansas City, MO, Dan DePorter, Reynolds, Deborah (Chuck) Layer, Milan, Doreen (David) Noth, Bettendorf, Donna (Mike) Saguto, East Berlin, PA, and David (Cindy) DePorter, Hanover, PA, grandchildren; Alice, Dan, Dominique, Megan, Jon, Melissa, Jenny, Thomas, Lisa, Wesley and Michael, a great granddaughter Kayley and sisters; Joie VandeCasteele, East Moline and Therese Bauwens, Rock Island.
