Graveside services for Jeffrey A. Bernat, 50, of East Moline, IL, will be 10:00 am Thursday at Riverside Cemetery, Moline, IL. Memorial visitation will be 4-8 pm Wednesday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Mr. Bernat died Friday, April 12, 2019, at Genesis East Davenport, IA.

Jeff was born July 5, 1968, in Peoria, IL, the son of Ronald and Bonnie Jo McWhirter Bernat. Jeff was quite the entrepreneur. He owned and operated Dynamic Products Inc since 2009. He invented the K9 Kannon now being sold by Hyper Pet. He was currently working for Moxie Solar, Davenport. He was a sports enthusiast who enjoyed mountain biking, racquetball, scuba diving, fishing and skiing. In 2017 he skied over 2,000,000 vertical feet.

Survivors include his father, Ronald Bernat (Barb DeSmet) East Moline; siblings, Chris Bernat (fiancee, Celeste Broder) and Amy (Chris) Smith, Rosenberg, TX; his girlfriend, Beth Novak, Davenport; special friend, Ruth Sandvik, Naples, FL; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother, and his dog, Mylo.

In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorials may be made to the family.
