Jeffrey Scott Racer, 67, of Port Byron, passed away October 10, 2026, at St. John’s Hospital, Springfield, IL. Per his wishes cremation rites will be accorded and no services to be held.

Jeff was born on October 20, 1958, in Indianapolis, IN, the son of Robert and Marcia (Morris) Racer. Jeff married Vicki Brookshier on February 14, 1984, in Las Vegas, NV, she preceded him in passing December of 2024. He worked at Honeywell as an IT Technician. Jeff enjoyed being out in his yard doing yardwork and working in his garden with his grandchildren. He was handy and did lots of renovations. Jeff loved being out on the open road riding his Harley motorcycle.

Jeff is survived by his father, Robert Racer; daughters, Krysty (Victor) Martel and Kerrie Nelson; brother, Marcus Racer; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Vicki Racer; mother, Marcia Racer; and sister, Melinda.
