Funeral services for Jeffrey T. McCormick, 47, Colona, are 10 AM Thursday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, IL. Committal will be at 2PM Friday at Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Visitation is 4-7 PM Wednesday at the funeral home. A memorial fund has been established. Jeff died Sunday, September 7, 2008 at his home. He was born July 10, 1961 in Moline, the son of Charles and Dorothy (Johnson) McCormick. He graduated from United Township High School in 1980. Jeff married Brenda Halsted on July 27, 1981 in Coal Valley, IL. He was a crew leader at Oscar Meyer in Davenport. Jeff coached Little League and Jr. Panther Football and was an assistant coach for the Mavericks Travel Team. He also enjoyed working and tinkering in the garage. Jeff had served in the US Army and the National Guard. Survivors include his wife Brenda, sons; Joshua, Colona, Jeremy, Silvis, and Jared of Colona, sisters and brothers-in-law; Cindy and Mick Painter, Colona, Margaret Gardner and Pete Jarvis, Bettendorf, IA, Linda and Thomas Littlefelt, New Mexico and Nancy Ludwig, Marietta, IL, brother and sister-in-law Richard and Frances McCormick, Hampton, his father; Charles of Colona, sisters-in-law; Teresa (Danny) Hulslander of Colona, and Linda (Gary) Price, Bloomington, and father-in-law and mother-in-law Gary and Carolyn Halsted of Coal Valley.
