Funeral services for Jennie N. "Mammaw" Bemis Sullivan, 86, Colona, are 10 AM Tuesday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Colona. Burial is in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Visitation is 4-7 PM Monday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, where a Christian wake service will be read at 6:30 PM. Jennie died Saturday, April 18, 2009 at Illini Restorative Care, Silvis. Memorials may be made to the family so that they may be distributed to all the agencies that helped in so many ways. Jennie Cicco was born January 6, 1923 in Clarkdale, Iowa, the daughter of Joseph and Florence (Gillietto) Cicco. She married Elmer Duke Bemis in July of 1941 he died in 1969. She married Leland Sullivan in June of 1973. He died in 1991. Mammaw was a loving mother and grandmother. Survivors include daughter; Patricia (Gary) Robertson of Colona, son Wesley D. Bemis (Brandi Osborn) of Taylor Ridge, step daughter Dora (Tom) Harmon, grandchildren; Gary D (Melanie) Robertson, Jerry (Juli) Robertson, Kaleb Bemis, John Bemis and Tracey Burke, great grandchildren; Cody, Spencer, Alexis and Melissa, step-grandson Rick Harmon and his family, sisters; Irene Faoro of Mystic, IA, Stella Baptist of Silvis and Phyllis (Harry) Clayworth of Moravia, IA and a sister-in-law Helen Cicco of Centerville, IA, and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her husbands, she is preceded in death by her daughter Barbara June Bemis, sisters; Josephine and Mary, brothers; Nick, Albert and Joseph and infant great-grandchildren; Reid and Rylee Robertson.
