Funeral services for Jennie Marie Wildermuth, 83, of East Moline, IL, will be 10:00 AM Friday at Christ United Methodist Church, East Moline, IL. Burial will be in National Cemetery, Rock Island, IL. Visitation will be 4-7 PM Thursday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, IL. Mrs. Wildermuth died Tuesday, March 14, 2006 at St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria, IL, due to complications of a fall. Memorials may be made to Christ United Methodist Church, East Moline or to the Gideons International. Jennie Marie Lewis was born March 3, 1923 in Geneseo, IL, the daughter of Perry and Jennie (Stach) Lewis Sr. She married Alvin J. Wildermuth, July 20, 1940 in Davenport, IA. She had worked for several downtown East Moline businesses, retiring from Norlin's Shoe Store in 1980. She had been an active member of Christ United Methodist Church, where she was part of the United Methodist Women. She had been a life member of the East Moline American Legion Post 227 Auxiliary. Survivors include: her husband, Alvin J. Wildermuth of East Moline, IL; daughter, Karen Ells of Bettendorf, IA, son and daughter-in-law, Gene and Ellie Wildermuth of Taylor Ridge, IL; 7 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandson; sister, Josie Marcum of Anaheim, CA; brother and sister-in-law, Perry T. and Susie Lewis Jr. of Prescott Valley, AZ.
