Jerilynn L. Barsi , 83, of Silvis, IL, passed away Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at MercyOne-Genesis, Silvis, IL.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, September 27th, at Van Hoe Funeral Home, East Moline, IL, with visitation one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Interment will be at Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline.

Jerilynn was born January 24, 1942, in Washburn, Illinois, a daughter of Dale and Gwendolyn (Carlson) Minch. She married Florio "Joe" Barsi, Jr. on June 24, 1972, in East Moline. He preceded her in death on December 31, 2001.

Jeri was a devoted mother whose greatest joy came from creating a warm and welcoming home for her family. She also worked as a realtor, at V&S Variety, catered special events with her crew of friends and lovingly provided in-home daycare, extending her nurturing spirit to many children. With her husband and son, she proudly opened Florio's Market in Colona, where she was able to share her passion for flowers and gardening. Jeri enjoyed sewing, crafts, painting, reading, puzzles and taking drives to admire the scenery and hunt for antiques. She was a wonderful listener and her warmth, creativity, and appreciation for life's simple joys touched all who knew her.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children, David Nelson, Colona, IL, Brian Nelson, Moline, IL, Wesley Nelson, Maquoketa, IA, and Carrie (Dan) Toland, Silvis, IL; grandchildren, James Toland and Brody Toland; brother, Clint (Linda) Minch, Harrison, AR; sisters, Peg Werner, Moline, IL, and Jo (Sam) Heald, Bettendorf, IA; many nieces, nephews, and additional family including Joseph Kent (Kelly) Barsi, the late Jerry Barsi, Linda Rogde, Sarah Idleman, Sam Barsi, and Kyle Barsi.

Jerilynn was preceded in death by her husband, Joe; her parents, Dale and Gwen; and her former husband, Ray Nelson.
