Funeral services for Jerry E. Brown, 41, of Silvis, IL, will be 10:00 AM Wednesday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd. East Moline, IL. Burial will be in National Cemetery, Rock Island, IL. Visitation will be 4-8 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. Mr. Brown died Friday, September 21, 2007 at his home. The Jerry Brown Memorial Fund has been established at The National Bank for his children. Jerry was born May 17, 1966 in Murfreesboro, TN, the son of Jerry Burnett Sr. and Margaret (McPeek). John Brown adopted Jerry when he was very young. Jerry married Sharon A. Tarver June 8, 1990 in Rock Island, IL. He had served in the United States Marine Corp. He had worked for Logistic Services Incorporated, Eldridge, IA for nearly 15 years and was currently employed at Nestle Purina, Davenport, IA. He enjoyed fishing, camping, and baseball. But most of all he loved spending time with his children and family. Survivors include: his wife, Sharon of Silvis, children, Kiel, Kolten, Michael, Samantha, Amanda, and Ashley all at home, sisters and brother-in-law, Mary Rogers of Lascasas, TN, Janie and Jerry Warta of Murfreesboro, TN, Rita Walker of Christiana, TN; brothers and sister-in-law, Joseph and Susan Brown of Calamus, IA, Jesse Brown of IA; special nephew, Tarryl Nunn; many nieces, nephews and friends.
