Funeral services for Jerry L. Harker, 73, of Hampton, IL, will be 10:00 AM Thursday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home, Ltd., East Moline, IL. Burial will be in Moline Memorial Park Cemetery, Moline, IL. Visitation will be 4:00 -7:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home. Mr. Harker died Friday, May 23, 2008 at Genesis Medical Center, Illini Campus, Silvis, IL. Memorials may be made to the Hampton Methodist Church, Hampton. Jerry was born January 7, 1935 in Moline, IL, the son of Fred and Opal (Enderton) Harker. He served in the US Army, where he was stationed in Korea. He married Betty Gelande May 11, 1957 in Hampton. He had worked for the former Frank Foundries and Fabri-Glass, Moline. He later worked for Johnson Contracting. He enjoyed golfing and fishing. Survivors include: daughters and sons-in-law, Theresa and Chris Sack of East Moline, Deanna and Robert Jodts of Geneseo, IL; son and daughter-in-law, Brad and Barb Harker of Hampton; 5 grandchildren; 1 great granddaughter; sister, Jeanette Harker of Golden, CO; brother, Burdette Harker of Hampton.
