Jerry R. Kerckhove, 70, of Carbon Cliff, IL, escaped the mortal realm on Saturday November 6, 2021. His friends and family would say he's in a better place. His family would like to apologize to any Hardee's stock holders, as their prices will surely plummet having lost their best and longest customer. Jerry leaves behind 2 daughters, Heather (Brandon) Stigner of South Bend, Indiana and Courtney (Brandon) Rhodes of Nappanee, Indiana; 5 grandchildren, Hannah Stigner, Jarrod Stigner, Maci McDonald, Hudson and Liam Rhodes; 1 great grandson, Daniel Stigner; 3 brothers, Michael, Jack (Vicki) and James Kerckhove; and 3 nephews. Jerry's future plans include cruising heaven in something fast and red, drinking a beer with Moe and catching a race with Earnhardt Sr. True to the hell raiser and prankster he was for 70 years on his dying breath, he flickered the lights in the room and pulled the fire alarm twice on his way out. True story. Jerry has left the building. Jerry would never have wanted services. Celebrate his life! Go watch a race, watch or take a ride in a hot air balloon, go outside and play with your kids, you get the picture.
