Jessie Ann (Camp) Vermeire, 57, of Silvis, passed away Wednesday, February 8, 2023. Cremation rites have been accorded. Van Hoe Funeral Home, East Moline is assisting the family with arrangements.

Jessie was born December 5, 1965, in Moline, to David and Terry (Hemphill) Camp. Jessie attended United Township High School and joined the U.S. Army. She served in Seoul, South Korea and Fort Campbell, Kentucky. She was honorably discharged in 1989 and returned to her hometown and family. Jessie pursued multiple endeavors from bartending and waitressing at Steventon's in LeClaire, Iowa for many years to owning and operating a graphic advertising company. She was not a good cook, but she was kind, generous, fierce, stubborn, bubbly, bold, and beautiful. Jessie loved the outdoors, including gardening and fishing. Above all, she loved JT, her Pitbull mix and guardian angel who is surely with her now.

Jessie joins her father, David Camp, who preceded her in death.

She is survived by her only child, Ashley (Ryan) Jahn, Taylor Ridge; mother, Terry Camp, Silvis; sister, Lucille (David) Starkey, Moline; and brothers, Marshall Camp, Michael (Laryssa) Camp, and David (Mary) Camp; as well as several beloved nephews, aunts, and uncles.

Jessie's daughter, Ashley, was her pride and joy.
