Funeral services for Jessie Rasso, 73, of East Moline, IL, will be 10:00 AM Tuesday at Christ the King Catholic Church, Moline, IL. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, East Moline. Visitation will be 2:00-8:00PM Monday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, where a rosary will be recited at 6:30PM. Mrs. Rasso died Thursday, May 07, 2009, at the home of her daughter in Silvis, IL, after a brief battle with cancer. She was surrounded by her family at her time of death. In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorials may be made to the Trinity Pathway Hospice. Jessie Garcia was born August 23, 1935 in Davenport, IA, the daughter of Albert and Catherine (Malone) Garcia. She married Robert "Bob" Rasso February 8, 1958 in Davenport, IA. He died January 1, 2009. She had been employed at QC Auto Auction until 2008. She enjoyed the river boats and bingo; her greatest joys were her children and grandchildren. Survivors included daughters and sons-in-law, Ann Sandoval of East Moline, Marty Sandoval of East Moline, Julie and Gordon Dickerson of Silvis, Tracey and Ron Lofgren of Davenport; sons and daughter-in-law, Robert C. Rasso (Pat Lord) of East Moline, Floyd "Mick" and Lisa Rasso of Davenport, Mike Rasso of East Moline, Jack Rasso of East Moline, Chris Rasso (Stephanie Smith) of East Moline; 18 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; "special daughter" Laurie Trudel-Beam of St. Petersburg, FL; siblings, Norma Gomez, Alberta Rodriquez, and Vince Garcia all of Davenport, Barbara Isais of East Moline, Rose Gill of LeClaire, IA; She is preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband of 51 years, daughter-in-law, Becky Rasso, grandson, Justin Nelson, a sister, and 2 brothers.
