Jimmy D. Pearce , 79, of Cordova, IL, passed away Sunday October 5th at Celebrate Senior Living, Moline, IL.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 10th, at Van Hoe Funeral Home, East Moline, IL, with visitation from 9:00 am to 11:00 a.m. Friday prior to services. Interment with military honors will be at National Cemetery, Rock Island, IL. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.

Jimmy was born March 15, 1946, in Jonesboro, Arkansas, to Clifford and Juanita (Belk) Pearce. He married Teresa D. Belman on December 29, 1993, in Rock Island, IL.

He was a U.S. Navy veteran and served in the Vietnam War.

Jimmy was a professional truck driver for many years for several area companies, including Stone's, Murphy Bros., and Tennant Truck Lines.

He enjoyed gardening, spending time with family and friends, and caring for his beloved pet dog, "Poquito".

Surviving are his wife, Teresa, of Cordova, IL; stepchildren, Jeffery Dearth, East Moline, and Joanna (Jason) Miller, Rapids City, IL; step grandchildren, Aidan and Evelyn Miller; sister, Sharon (Omar) Peck, Friendswood, TX; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford and Juanita; and his brother, Bob Pearce.
