Funeral services for JoAnn Mary Baecke, 63, of Moline, IL, will be 1:00 PM Monday at St. Anne Catholic Church, East Moline, IL. Burial will be in Hampton Cemetery, Hampton, IL. Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00PM Sunday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, where a rosary will be recited at 7:00PM. JoAnn died Friday, October 03, 2008 at her residence of Heritage 53, Moline. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the William Burrus Endowment for ARC of the Quad Cities. JoAnn was born September 2, 1945 in Rock Island, IL, the daughter of Leone and Robert Baecke Sr. She enjoyed reading her books and magazines, spending time with her friends and watching television. Survivors include: sister and brother-in-law, Martena and James Byron of Chillicothe, IL; brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Geraldine Baecke Jr. of East Moline; nieces (spouse), Jane (Harry) Haedt of Davenport, IA, Mary (Mark) Spranger of Bettendorf, IA; special friend Dale Burrill. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, parents, and all of her aunts and uncles. The family would like to express a special thank you to Heritage 53 and Beacon of Hope Hospice.
