Jody Cole, 42, Erie, passed away on Thursday, March 10, 2016 at Genesis Illini, Silvis. A memorial visitation will be held Sunday, March 13, 2016 from 2-5 PM at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Private inurment will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to the family. Jody was born on June 20, 1973 in Rock Island, the daughter of James and Joyce (Abbott) Spahnie. She married Lee Cole on June 23, 1998. Jody had worked at Kraft Food and had done home care. She enjoyed riding horses, scrapbooking and baking. Survivors include her husband Lee, daughter Honesti Winters, Davenport, Gauge Spahnie, Port Byron, grandson, Brady, mother, Joyce Garren, Moline, father James (Billie) Spahnie, North Henderson, IL, siblings, Sandi Wittenauer, Geneseo, Heather Spahnie, Colona, Danny Garren, St. Charles, LA, Mylinda Powell, Coal Valley, Patty Stevens, Davenport, Jordan Spahnie, Milan and Amanda Smith, St. Louis, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son Kamren and her stepfather, Larry Garren.
