Joe W. Blomgren, 89, of East Moline, passed away Saturday December 23, 2017 at Genesis Medical Center – East Campus in Davenport. Cremation Rites have been accorded, there will be no services. Van Hoe Funeral Home, Ltd., in East Moline is in charge of arrangements. Joe was born November 3, 1928 in Bucknell, IA a son of Emanuel and Mathilda (Larson) Blomgren. He married Doris E. Souply, May 3, 1948 in Lovilia, Iowa. She preceded in him in death, June 1, 2010. He worked for IH Harvester for over 35 years in various capacities. He enjoyed being outside and loved his dog, Sophie. Joe is survived by his children: Niki Garman of Gilbert, AZ; Bill (Karen) Blomgren of East Moline and Rich (Katy Morse) Blomgren of Rock Island. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents and siblings.
