Joel G. Meguffy, 61, of Milan, IL, passed away Monday, July 19, 2021, at his home surrounded by family and friends. A Celebration of Life will be Sunday, August 8, 2021 at Mr. Ed's Liquor and Tap, 127 4th Street W., Milan, IL from 11 AM until 4 PM.

Joel was born February 13, 1960, in Moline, IL, the son of Patrick D. and Virginia "Gina" (Nelson) Meguffy. He worked for Milan Black Top as a machine operator for over 20 years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting for mushrooms, and making jewelry. He was an excellent pool player and would travel to Las Vegas to play in tournaments.

He is survived by his siblings, Shawn (Susan) Meguffy, Reynolds, IL, Kelly (Maggie) Meguffy, East Moline, IL, Dan (Bev) Meguffy, Hillsdale, IL, Meg (Terry) Woolsey, Cambridge, IL, and Patrick (Mary) Meguffy, Milan; many nieces and nephews; his partner of 21 years, Yvonne Buford; her children, Amberlee (Matt) Schroeder, Aledo, IL, Amanda (Brian) Gorski, FL, Austin Adams, FL, and Zachary (Morgan) Adams, FL; grandchildren, Kaleb and Lucas Rossi, Isabella and Elizabeth Schroeder, and Cloie and Layla Gorski.

He was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents; and his "fur sons", Lester, Wilson and Lodi. In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorials may be made to the family.

He will be missed by family, friends, co-workers, and his "fur buddies", Otis and Tucker.
