Funeral services for Johanna K. Zukas, 91, of East Moline, IL, will be 10:00 AM Monday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, IL. Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline, IL. Visitation will be 2-4 PM Sunday at the funeral home. Mrs. Zukas died Wednesday, November 23, 2005 at St. Anthony's Continuing Care Center, Rock Island, IL. Memorials may be made to the First Presbyterian Church, East Moline, IL, where she had been a member. Johanna Sharkey was born December 4, 1913 in Westville, IL, the daughter of John F. and Mary (Stines) Sharkey. She married George R. Zukas, September 15, 1935 in Church of the Nativity BVM, Chicago, IL. He died July 30, 1959. She had been a self employed Beauty Operator for over 30 years. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Survivors include: daughter and son-in-law, Johanna and Ray Schatteman of East Moline, IL; son, John Zukas of Oregon, OH; grandchildren and spouses, Shawn J. and Nicole Schatteman, Mark R. and Peggy Zukas, Suzanne and Randy Peace; great granchildren, Logan and Morgan Zukas, Ella and Lainey Peace, Blake Schatteman. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brother.
