John A. Angel, 64 ,recently of LeClaire, IA, formerly of East Moline IL passed away Thursday, January 21, 2021 at his home. In light of the Covid-19 Pandemic, a celebration of life will be held at a later date.

John was born on September 21, 1956 in Moline, the son of John L. and Jacqueline (Hanneman) Angel. He graduated from UTHS in 1974 and started an apprenticeship with Hoegner Tool & Die of East Moline that summer. He married Faith Kemp on May 31, 1980 in Moline. John retired in 2015 after working for 35 years at John Deere Harvester Works, East Moline, as a tool and die maker.

He was an avid fisherman with great story-telling capabilities. He enjoyed the many vacations to Minnesota with family and friends. He spent many years playing softball and bowling. John truly enjoyed time spent with family and friends.

He was very involved with the Silvis school district during his childrens' time there. He was a Cubmaster and Den leader, volunteered many hours of his time and talents to the Silvis Booster Club, and he coached, umpired, organized tournaments and held office for the SAY Baseball Organization for 13+ years. He truly loved working with the kids.

He was an active member of the JD Harvester Bass Club for many years and enjoyed nothing better than those early morning times on the lakes fishing with buddies. He was always a competitor in everything he did.

Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Faith, their sons, Nick (Theresa) Angel and Jake Angel, both of Denver, CO, grandchildren, Camilla and Henry, his father John Angel, East Moline, and brother Mike (Kim) Angel, East Moline.

He was preceded in death by his Mother.
