John A. "Jack" Johnson, 74, of East Moline, IL, died Wednesday, December 13, 2017, at his home. Family will be receiving friends at Jack's nieces home at 3607 26th Ave, Moline, IL, from 2:00-4:00 pm Saturday to celebrate Jack's life. Jack was born August 9, 1943, in Moline the son of Earl and Mary Baraks Johnson. He married Melody Sears. He later married Darlene Teel. She died November 25, 2009. Jack was a diesel mechanic. He had worked for the former Rock Island Lines, East Moline Landfill and various other businesses. Survivors include his grandchildren; Amanda Johnson, Davenport, IA, and Brandon Johnson, PA; 3 great grandchildren; step children, Doreen Teel, Donna Teel, and Doug (Tammy) Teel, all of Davenport, 5 step grandchildren, several step great grandchildren; brother, Richard (Dorothy) Johnson, Moline; sister-in-law, Bonnie Johnson, TN; brother-in-law, Tom Calhoun, East Moline; special friend Julie Garlic, East Moline. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, son, Mark Johnson, step daughter, Debbie Teel, sister, Shirley Calhoun, and brothers, William and Robert. Memorials may be made to the family.
