Funeral services for John M. Fanter, of Davenport, IA, formerly of East Moline, IL, will be 1:00 PM Monday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd. East Moline, IL. Burial will be in Moline Memorial Park Cemetery, Moline, IL. Visitation will be 2-5 PM Sunday at the funeral home. Mr. Fanter died Thursday, June 9, 2005 at Meadowlawn Nursing Home Davenport, IA. John was born August 20, 1935 in Chicago, IL, the son of Louis and Gertrude (Shoener) Fanter. He was a graduate of United Township High School Class of 1953. He loved his family very much, and he will be missed. Survivors include: sisters and brother-in-law, Dorothy Adams of East Moline, IL, Roberta and Elwood Hill of East Moline, IL; brother and sister-in-law, Arthur and Diane Fanter of Coal Valley, IL; many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents.
