Funeral services for John A. Goeden, 84, of East Moline, IL, will be 11:00AM Wednesday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Visitation will be 2 hours prior to services at the funeral home. Mr. Goeden died Friday, May 17, 2013 at University Hospitals & Clinics, Iowa City, IA. John was born March 2, 1929 in Johnson County, IA, the son of John P. and Mary E. Bond Goeden. He married Katherine Lucas October 27, 1950 in Rock Island, IL. She died October 13, 2010. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He worked for the former East Moline International Harvester, where he retired after 35 years of service. He loved fishing and stock cars. Survivors include his children; Joanne Goeden, East Moline, David Goeden, Hooppole, John Goeden, Princeton, IA, Kathleen Fuller, Rock Island, Karen (John) DeCock, Moline, Brian (Linda) Goeden, Colona, IL, Karyl (David) Mienke, Hudson, WI, Robert (Emily) Goeden, Eddyville, IA, and Kristine Lister, Tucson, AZ, 15 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren.
