John T. Nichols, 49, Milan, passed away on Sunday, September 10, 2017 at his home. A casual Celebration of Life will be held from 11 AM until 3 PM Saturday, September 16, 2017 at Wildwood Church, East Moline. In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorials may be made to the family. John was born April 21, 1968 in Neptune, NJ. He worked as a truck driver. He enjoyed stock car racing, going to the drag strip and tinkering in his garage. He married Christina Pappas on February 24, 2012 in Rock Island. He is survived by his wife, children, Brandon Edwards, WA, Megan Orr, Rock Island, and Andrew Orr, Coal Valley, stepdaughters, Kiersten Pizano and Salena Pizano, both of Moline, mom, Mary Ann McTigue, Port Byron, stepbrothers and a stepsister, Patrick Nichols, Jr., DeKalb, Nick Nichols, GA and Linda Utz, AL, and many nieces nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, John Marcks. John, we watched you suffer. We saw you die. But all we could do was sit close by. You went away, we had to part. God eased you pain, but broke our hearts....Love your family.
