Memorial services for Jonathan E. Davis, 36, of Hampton, IL, will be 11:00AM Saturday, August 9, 2008 at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, IL. Visitation will be 2 hours prior to services at the funeral home on Saturday. Mr. Davis died Wednesday, July 30, 2008 at Trinity Pathway Hospice, Bettendorf, IA. Memorials may be made to the family. Jon was born May 7, 1972 in Moline, IL, the son of Dennis and Virginia "Ginni" (Bichel) Davis. He married Hungpo Kuo in May of 1999 in East Moline. He had been a Network Engineer for Yash Technologies, East Moline. Jon had been very active at Military Arts Institute, East Moline, where he was an instructor and earned his 2nd Degree Black Belt. He was a certified scuba diver. He loved vacationing at the summer home on Lake Okoboji. He enjoyed antiques, fishing, and a good cigar. Survivors include: his children, Shayleen Davis-Pendersen of Colona, IL, Dennis Jie, Rebecca and Victoria Davis all of Bettendorf, IA; mother, Ginni Davis of Hampton; grandfather, Darwin C. "Bud" Bichel of East Moline; "brother from another mother"(spouse), Michael (Rachel) Hughes of Moline, IL; several aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his father, grandparents.
