Jose Velasquez, 77, East Moline, passed away Sunday, October 17, 2010 at Trinity Rock Island. Visitation is 4-7PM Tuesday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Private burial will be at a later date in Mexico. A memorial fund has been established. Jose was born April 19, 1933 in San Roque De Torres, GTO, Mexico. He married Juana Rodriguez Hernandez on July 10, 1952 in San Francisco, GTO, Mexico. He had worked at Foremost Pack, East Moline, and retired from Markman Peat Co. Survivors include his wife Juana, son and daughter-in-law Guadalupe and Esther Velasquez, grandchildren; Miguel, Jose and Leticia, great grandchildren; Isabella, Jordan, Kamya, A'nivea, Kayden and Maddox, and siblings; Beatriz, Consuelo, Jesus and San Juana. He is preceded in death by his parents brothers Manuel, Guadalupe and Antonio and a sister Maria.
