Joseph P. Bradley Sr., 65, Moline, passed away on Thursday, December 21, 2017 at home, surrounded by his family. Visitation is 10 AM until 12 PM Tuesday, December 26, 2017 at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Graveside services are 12:30 PM at Rock Island National Cemetery, where the East Moline American Legion Post 227 will conduct military honors. Anyone wishing to attend services should meet at the funeral home by noon. Memorials may be made to the family.

Joe was born October 17, 1952 in Rock Island, the son of Robert W. and Darlene R. (York) Bradley Sr. He graduated from Moline High School. Joe married Rita Dooley on March 23, 1972 in Rock Island. She died May 18, 2016. He retired from John Deere Harvester Works, East Moline. He was a life member of the VFW 5001, Lewiston, IL, the East End Club and the Silvis Eagles. He enjoyed hunting camping and shooting pool. He served in the US Army.

Survivors include his children, Shannon Lee Bradley, Marion, IL, Joseph Paul Bradley Jr. (Tammy Burns), Moline and Robert Leon Bradley, Moline, granddaughters, Ginger and Summer, and siblings, Doyle (Barbara) Bradley, Hudson, NC, J.B.Bradley, Bettendorf, Troy Coakley, TX, Debra Bradley-Weinzweig (Ken Weinzweig), Coal Valley, Robin (John) Frederick, East Moline, Kathy Grzanich, Louistown, IL Brenda (Butch) Dooley, Granite Falls, NC, Tina (Robert) Whitmire, Hampton, Vicki Bradley, Rock Island, Lisa Bradley, Rock Island, Karen (John) Chenoweth, Moline, Tina (Robert) Anderson, Rock Island, and his mother-in-law Dixie Dooley, Silvis. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents, and siblings, Robert Bradley Jr., and John Bradley and Lori Bradley.
