Joseph C. Hostetler, 86, Silvis, passed away on March 26, 2014 in Sarasota, Florida.

Funeral services are 11 AM Tuesday at Apostolic Sanctuary, 1501 John Deere Parkway, Silvis. Visitation is from 10 AM until service time at the church. Private burial will be in Stewart Cemetery, Metamora, IL. Memorials may be made to the Apostolic Sanctuary, Silvis.

Joe was born on February 8, 1928 in Shelbyville, IL. He retired from Northwestern Steel and Wire in Sterling, IL. He married Bobette Polte and together they had 6 children. He later married Betty on March 22, 1991. She preceded him in death.

Survivors include his children and spouses, Ronald and Uli Hostetler, Germany, Michael Hostetler, Ithaca, NY, Vicki and Stanley "Todd" Tyler, Bettendorf, Terry Hostetler, Iowa City, IA, Dr. Mark Hostetler, Phoenix, AZ and Shawn Hostetler, Davenport, grandchildren, Anja, Alex, Caitlin, Barat, Kyleigh, Kennedy and Zachariah.
