Joseph J. Solis II, 35, Silvis, passed away on Thursday, February 4, 2021 at his home. Private family funeral services will be held with burial at St. Mary's Cemetery. A public visitation will be held from 4-7 PM Tuesday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Anyone wishing to attend must wear face coverings and respect social distancing. In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorials may be made to the family.

Joseph was born on March 7, 1985 in Silvis, the son of Joseph J. and Rose (Hernandez) Solis. He graduated from Rock Island High School. Joe had a charismatic personality, and could light up a room. He loved being an uncle and had a great heart. He was an avid Chicago Cubs, Chicago Bears and Fighting Illini fan.

Survivors include his parents, Rose Hernandez (Ray Lind), Rock Island, Joseph (Kathy) Solis, Silvis, sisters, Elida (Steve) Richards, Rock Island, Anita Solis (John Nottger), Chicago and Josette (Todd) Wood, Hampton, nieces and nephews; Aaron, Sierra, Zachary, Dalton, Jacob, Elli and Lexi, many aunts, uncles, cousins and good friend, Trish Allman.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
