Funeral services for Joseph Lodico Sr., of Rochelle formerly of Silvis, IL, will be 9:00 AM, Monday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Silvis,IL. Entombment will be at St. Mary Mausoleum, East Moline. Visitation will be Sunday 2-5PM at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd. East Moline. Mr Lodico died Wednesday, February 21, 2007 at Rockford Memorial Hospital, Rockford, IL. Memorial may be made to the Alzheimer Association or for Masses. Joseph was born April 25, 1918 in Savanna, IL. The son of Santo and Caroline Lodico. He married Margaret D. DeGrande on July 2,1938 in Davenport IA. She died April 22, 2001. Joseph was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Silvis, before moving to Rochelle, IL. He enjoyed dancing, golfing and listening to big band music. He loved being with his family and traveling to Arizona. Joseph worked for 30 years as a sales manager at Warren Chevrolet. Survivors include his sons and daughter in law, Joseph Lodico Jr. of Rochelle, IL, James and Carol Lodico of Geneseo, IL, Dennis Lodico of Phoenix AZ., David and Kate Lodico of Phoenix AZ., and Donald and Julie Lodico of Indianapolis IN., 8 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife, and parents.
