Funeral services for Joseph D. Vyncke, 74, of Silvis, IL, will be 10:00AM Friday at St. Anne Catholic Church, East Moline. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, East Moline. Visitation will be 3:00-7:00PM Thursday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Mr. Vyncke died Tuesday, February 24, 2015, at Genesis, Silvis. Joe was born April 4, 1940, in East Moline, IL, the son of Richard and Genevieve Schulte Vyncke. He served in the Army National Guard of Illinois from 1963-1969. He married Nancy J. Hill February 23, 1963, at St. Anne Catholic Church. He retired from Case-IH, East Moline, in 1993 after 30 years of service. After retiring from Case-IH, Joe worked at St. Anne Catholic Church and School. No job was too big or too small for Joe. Whether it was fixing the roof, boilers, or bathrooms he was Mr. Fixit. Joe gave his all to St. Anne and Our Lady of Grace Catholic Academy and will be greatly missed. He enjoyed fishing and had been a Chicago Cubs and Bears fan. Survivors include his wife Nancy Vyncke, Silvis; daughters, Julie Vyncke (Steve Lowery), Morton, IL, Debra Vyncke-Obmascik (Todd Obmascik) Bolingbrook, IL, Tracy Vyncke (Brent Hanlin) Hampton, IL, and Lisa (Chris) Jenkins, MI; grandchildren, Tyler, Austin, Abby, Mason, Brock, Kelin, Kelsy, Kasey, Evan, Spencer, and Seth; sister, Luella Summers, Rock Island, IL, and Marlene (Mel) Gavin, Hayward, WI; brothers, Paul Vyncke, East Moline, Bill (Ruth) Vyncke, East Moline, Jim (Glenda) Vyncke, Andover, IL, and Wayne (Ruthann) Vyncke, Hayward. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Leo Vyncke. In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorials may be to Our Lady of Grace Catholic Academy.
