Funeral services for Josephine M. Flores de Raya, 87, of East Moline, IL, will be 9:00AM Monday at St. Anne Catholic Church, East Moline. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, East Moline. Visitation will be 2:00-5:00PM Sunday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, where a rosary will be recited at 4:30PM. Miss Raya died Thursday, October 7, 2010 at Aspen Rehabilitation & Health Care, Silvis, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Quad City Animal Welfare Center, Milan, IL. Josephine was born June 23, 1923 in Morelia, Michoacan, Mexico, the daughter of Magdaleno N. and Augustina Flores Lopez. She enjoyed feeding the birds and squirrels. She loved her pet dogs and cats. Survivors include her brother, Arturo Rueben of Moline; special nieces and nephews, Brenda (Frank) Perez of Colona, IL, Nancy Zepeda, Moline, Mike (Sue) Cervantes of Rock Island, IL, Randy Cervantes of Moline, Raul (Connie) Cervantes of Moline; best friends, Arlene Madrigal of Davenport, IA, and Carolina Cervantes of Mexico. She is preceded in death by her parents, infant sister, Francica, brothers, Joe and Leonard, Fina her beloved pet.
