Funeral services for Josette N. Larson, 92, of East Moline, IL, will be 10:00AM Friday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Burial will be in National Cemetery, Rock Island, IL. Visitation will be 4:00-7:00PM Thursday at the funeral home. Mrs. Larson died Monday, April 27, 2009 at Rosewood Care Center, Moline, IL. In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorials may be made to the Rosewood Care Center Activity Fund. Josette Nyquist was born May 24, 1916 in Moline, IL, the daughter of Carl and Mathelda (Peterson) Nyquist. She married Robert M. Larson July 22, 1942 in Cheyenne, WY. He died October 11, 2004. She retired in 1976 from the former AMETEK, East Moline, where she had served 15 years. Josette had been active in her community. She had been a member and held various positions in the AMVETS, American Legion, Lions Club, VFW, Masons, Elks, and the PTA. Survivors include: daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and David Elbow of Liberty, MO, Leslie and Mike Strabley of Morton, IL; son and daughter-in-law, Ward and Nadine Larson of East Moline, IL; grandchildren(spouse), Bob III (Ellie), Eric, Andy, Travis, Melissa, Shannon (Zachary), Clint, Chris (Jenifer), Leslie (Craig), Alan, Joe (Kate), and Dan; great grandchildren, Talia, Selena, Kameron, Ethan, Ayla, and Kendall.
