Joshua D. Grimes, 47, of Moline, Illinois, passed away Sunday, May 10, 2026, at his home.

No services are planned at this time. Van Hoe Funeral Home, East Moline, is assisting the family with arrangements. Memorials may be made to the family in care of Misty Grimes.

Joshua was born May 16, 1978, in Geneseo, IL. He married Misty M. Sodeman on May 15, 2015, in Chicago, IL.

He was a talented artist. He enjoyed playing pool, shooting darts, and caring for his beloved pet dog, “Skylar”.

He is survived by his wife, Misty; children, Brett Vance and Kayla Vance; stepchildren, Coltton Sodeman, Chase Sodeman, and Jack (Alyssa) Sodeman; six step-great grandchildren; mother, Ty Keegan; stepfather, Ron Keegan; sister and brother-in-law, Katryna (Dustin) Bellinger; and nephew, Dreyson Davis.
