Funeral services for Joy Dean Doss, 77, of East Moline, IL, will be 11:00AM Wednesday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home ltd., East Moline. Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Mrs. Doss died Sunday, September 11, 2011 at Trinity Rock Island. Memorials may be made to Crossroads Christian Center, East Moline or the National Kidney Foundation. Joy Cook was born March 18, 1934 in Lepanto, AR, the daughter of Henry and Dovie Keith Cook. She married Charles "Bud" Doss March 20, 1950 in Searcy, AR. He died March 31, 2003. She had been a LPN working at the former East Moline State Hospital and Illini Hospital, Silvis, IL. Survivors include children, Robert (Nishat) Doss of Houston, TX, Melvin Doss Sr. of La Crosse, WI, Diane (David) Heard of Kingwood, TX, Angela Doss of East Moline, Melvin (Tonya) Doss Jr. East Moline; 4 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; sisters, Elva Jean Davis of Searcy, Janice Mosley of Searcy, Emogene Taylor of Lonoke, AR.
