Joy C. Fauser, 92, Silvis, passed away on Wednesday, October 31, 2018 at Genesis Illini, Silvis. Funeral services are 1PM Monday at St. John's Lutheran Church, East Moline. Burial is in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Visitation is 2-5 PM Sunday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd, East Moline. Memorials may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church Library.

Joy Ries was born June 9, 1926 in Davenport, IA, the only child of Edward and Cleo (Bledsoe) Ries. She married Richard P. Fauser Sr., on May 7, 1949 in Moline. He died June 5, 1997. In early years, Joy did accounting at John Deere, Franks Foundry and Modern Woodman. More recently she did Recording for Black Hawk Area Special Ed. She enjoyed her card club, traveling and was an active member of St. John's Lutheran Church. Joy dearly loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include her children; Richard (Sylvia) Fauser Jr., East Moline, Kristi (Dane) Meuschke, Port Clinton, OH, and Karen (Tony) Hatfield, Silvis, grandchildren; Kevin, Tony, Jeff, Sara, Aime, Arin and Nathanael and nine great-grandchildren.
