Funeral services for Joy Brewer-Reel, 74, Moline, are 11 AM Friday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Visitation is 1 hour prior to services. Graveside services are 11:30 AM Saturday at Oakland Cemetery, Centerville, IA. Joy died peacefully on Monday, November 16, 2009 at her home. Joy Brewer was born on September 25, 1935 in Centerville, the daughter of Harry and Bessie (Smith) Brewer. She was a loving and caring person who was always doing good deeds for people. She enjoyed socializing with people and was very generous. Survivors include her daughter Diane Douglas of East Moline, granddaughters; Wednesday and David Bennett, Brainerd, MN, Dawn and Travis Schell, Moline, and Spring and Brent Simpson, Geneseo, great grandchildren; Grace, Hope, Brandon, Brooklynn, Madyson and Kayla; a brother Ted Brewer of Springbrook, TX, and sisters Glenys Kilgard, Milan and June Barnes, Silvis.
