Joyce Marie Verhaeghe, 79, East Moline, died Thursday, April 18, 2013 at Hope Creek, East Moline. Funeral services are 10 AM Monday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Entombment is in St. Mary's Mausoleum. East Moline. Visitation is 3-5PM Sunday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorials may be made to 1st Baptist Church, East Moline or to the American Cancer Society. Joyce Moore was born on June 10, 1933 in Auxier, KY, the daughter of Terry and Dorothy Moore. She married Robert Verhaeghe on July 14, 1951 at St. Mary's Church, East Moline. She enjoyed bowling, fishing, bingo and working crossword puzzles. She was a member of 1st Baptist Church, East Moline. Survivors include her husband of nearly 62 years, Robert, children (spouses), Janet Versypt, Cordova, Ronald (Cindy) Verhaeghe, Coal Valley, Cathy (Ron) Pershy, Colona, Lorrie (Ron) Williams, Portland, OR, and Robert E. (Denise) Verhaeghe, East Moline, eleven grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and a great-great granddaughter. She is preceded in death by her parents, stepmother Evelyn Burke, her brother Fred Moore and her son-in-law, John Versypt.
