Funeral services for Julia E. Granell, 91, of East Moline, IL, will be 11:00 AM Tuesday at St. Anne Catholic Church, East Moline. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, East Moline. Visitation will be from 9:30-10:30 AM Tuesday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Mrs. Granell died Sunday, August 31, 2008 at the Lighthouse, Silvis, IL. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital. Julia Prosen was born October 24, 1916 in Grandville, IL, the daughter of Anton and Mary (Brula) Prosen. She married Lester Granell January 8, 1938 in East Moline. He died April 21, 2008. She had been a seamstress. She worked for Gibberman Bros. and then Seaford Tailoring Co. for 26 years. She enjoyed sewing, cooking and baking. She had been a lifetime member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, East Moline. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Survivors include: son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Judy Granell of Moline, IL; grandchildren (spouse), Tonica (Scott) Roman, Dawn Granell, and Michael Granell; 7 great grandchildren.
