Funeral services for Julian M. "JuJu" Slagel, 21, of East Moline, IL, will be 10:00 am Friday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Burial will be in Rock Island Memorial Park Cemetery, Rock Island, IL. Visitation will be 3:00-7:00 pm Thursday at the funeral home. Mr. Slagel died Saturday, March 19, 2016 at home. Julian was born December 6, 1994, in Preston, ID, the son of Brian and Melissa Deleon Slagel. Julian was a huge Minnesota Viking fan. He enjoyed all kinds of music. He loved spending time with his sons. Survivors include his father, Brian (Lynn) Slagel, Silvis, IL; mother, Melissa Deleon, Gatesville, TX; sons, Jayce Thomas Slagel, East Moline, and Isaac Miguel Slagel, Silvis; brother, Brian Slagel Jr., Silvis; half sisters, Sara Fry, East Moline, Lexie Nicole Slagel, Moline; half brother, John Fry Jr., East Moline; step-sisters, Kaylie Sisul, Silvis, and Raena Carpentier, Silvis; paternal grandfather, Michael (Brenda) Slagel, Waco, TX, paternal grandmother, Carolyn (Curtis) Swanson, Cambridge, IL; maternal grandparents, Julian and Rosie Deleon Gatesville, TX; several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
