Julyle "John" Shannon, 82, of Moline, passed away Monday, January 13, 2025, at Celebration of Moline.  Per his wishes cremation rites will be accorded and no services will be held.  Van Hoe Funeral Home of East Moline is assisting family with arrangements.

John was born on July 17, 1942, in Moline.  He married Susan Lingafelter on May 17, 1969, in Moline, she preceded him in death.  He was a proud veteran serving in the U.S Marine Corps.  John worked as a buyer for MidAmerican and was the owner of Shannon's Bar and Grill.  He enjoyed watching and attending sporting events, especially for his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

John is survived by his sons, Jay (Dawn) Shannon and Darin Shannon, both of Rock Island; grandsons, Austin and Tyler Shannon; four great grandchildren; and brother, Marty Shannon; and sister, Aurelia "Mickey" Miller.  He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; three brothers; and two sisters.
