June M. Johnson, 76, of East Moline, IL, passed away at Illini Genesis Medical Center, Silvis, IL, on Monday, Feb. 10, 2014. June was born November 23, 1937, in Moline, IL to Dale and Myrtle Scovial Peterson. She married Donald R. Johnson on Dec. 3, 1955, in Geneseo, IL. She worked as a nursing assistant, housekeeper/laundry at Florence Nursing Home, Marengo, IL before retirement. June enjoyed her music, crossword puzzles, Bingo, writing poetry, her dog Levi and her family. Survivors include her children, Tereasa (Green) (William) McCalmont, Janesville, WI, Cheryl (Chuck) Harbeck, Moline, and Kevin (Lori) Johnson, Rock Island, IL; 2 sisters, Gladys Rushing, Rock Island and Wanda (Randy) Hepner, Cambridge, IL; 12 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald and son-in-law, Donnie Green. Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd. will provide a private family viewing; she will be cremated and laid to rest at Greenview Cemetery, East Moline.
