Justin Nelson, 42, passed away on Sunday, September 21st. He was living and working in Moline as a cable installer for Dish Network, a job he truly enjoyed. Justin graduated from J D Darnell high school in Geneseo and attended Black Hawk College. His interests were focused on writing, enjoying a good Zombie movie and his many artistic endeavors. His passion for disaster-readiness was evidenced by his disaster training and his service to the disaster-readiness committee in Moline. He was also proud of his training in fighting forest fires in Oregon. As a young man, Justin worked many hours for the St. Joseph's meal site and carried that spirit of generosity throughout his life. His free spirit and quirky sense of humor will be missed by family, friends and colleagues. Justin is survived by his mother, Kathleen Kelly of Rock Falls, his father, John Nelson of Springfield, Il and his two nephews, Jake and Jordyn. His life will be remembered and honored on Saturday, September 27th at Van Hoe Funeral Home, East Moline with visitation from 2-4 pm and the service following at 4pm led by his good friend Marshall Plumley.
