Funeral services for Karen Kay Chandler, 65, of East Moline, IL, will be 10:00 AM Monday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, IL. Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Visitation will be 3:00-5:00 PM Sunday at the funeral home. Mrs. Chandler died Thursday January 28, 2010 at her home. Memorials may be made to the family. Karen Ahrens was born January 6, 1945 in Scott County, IA, the daughter of Hubert and Dorothy Eickhoff Aherns. She married Richard Chandler August 14, 1976 in Hampton, IL. He died August 3, 2005. Karen had been a homemaker. She enjoyed playing games and baking. She was a loving mother and grandmother, who adored her grandchildren. Survivors include her sons and daughter-in-law, Kevin Alexander of Moline, IL, William "Paul" and Heather Alexander of Moline; grandchildren Emily and Billy Alexander sister, Delores Ralfs, of Davenport, IA, Daryl Ahrens of Davenport, Keith Ahrens of Davenport, Gary Ahrens of Delmar, IA, and Craig Ahrens of IA.
