Karen A. Schropp, 68, East Moline, died Saturday, June 15, 2013 at Genesis Medical Center-Illini Campus, Silvis. Funeral services are 10 AM Wednesday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Visitation is 4-7PM Tuesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund for her grandchildren's eduction fund is being established. Inurnment will be in Roselawn Memorial Cemetery, Moline. Karen Graham was born on August 29, 1944 in Moline, the daughter of Harold and Mildred (Davis) Graham. She received her LPN from Black Hawk College and had worked at the former East Moline State Hospital and retired from the East Moline Correctional Center. She enjoyed doing cross stitch, knitting and quilting. Karen was a loving and devoted care giver for her mother and her family who needed care. Survivors include her son, Michael McDaniels, Aimes, IA; step-children, Jeff Ohern and Jamie Ohern, both of Moline, five grandchildren, her mother Mildred Bull, Moline, sister Janice (Lee) Reynolds, Tabernash, CO, brother, William (Dianne) Graham, East Moline and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, special friend David Zumaris.
