Karen L. Tindall, 74, East Moline, passed away on Friday, July 14, 2017 at Heartland Health Care, Moline. Memorial services are 11AM Tuesday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Visitation is from 9 AM until service time. In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorials may be made to the Kidney Foundation. Karen Duff was born on March 26, 1943 in Centerville, IA, the daughter of William and Mary (Giglio) Duff. She graduated from Northern Illinois University. She married Joseph Tindall on October 14, 1967, in Rock Island. She worked as a Medical Technologist and Bacteriologist for the former Moline Public Hospital. Although Karen had many health issues over the years, her spirit persevered and she found joy in the little things. She loved to watch the birds in the many backyard feeders and looked forward to all the homegrown vegetables that came out of her and Joe's garden. She adored her grandchildren and was very proud of their accomplishments. Karen was also an avid lover of music, especially the soundtracks of old musicals like Showboat and West Side Story and country artists like Marty Robbins and Willie Nelson. Survivors include her husband of 49 years, Joe, daughter Michelle (Jerrod) Begora of Crystal Lake, IL, grandchildren Dominic, Caleb and Reagan, and siblings, James (Sheron) Duff, Silvis and Julie (David) Mills, Dumfries, VA. The family would like to thank Dee Lopez and Angie Stottler for the care shown to Karen.
