Katharine Jo Ganey, 53, East Moline, passed away on Monday, February 3, 2014 at Genesis Medical Center, Silvis. A memorial visitation will be held on Friday from 4-7 PM at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Memorial services will be 11 AM Saturday at Riverview Free Will Baptist Church, Bettendorf. Private committal service will be held at a later date. A memorial fund has been established. Kathy was born on February 25, 1960 in Greenville, NC, the daughter of Owen and Christine Ganey. She lived in the Quad Cities for the past 38 years. She had worked for Remington, Leisure Time Billiards and most recently at Short Hills Country Club. Kathy was an accomplished pool player, who had won numerous tournaments and competitions. Among survivors is her sister, Anita (James) Forlines, Nashville, TN, and a host of extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents.
